Obscenely Obscure is a continuing series of multi-media events which showcased the amazing and under-appreciated sounds of production music or "Library Music" from around the world. The evenings featured DJ Veins, DJ Dad, and DJ Average Rooms spinning rare vinyl from the soundtrack vaults accompanied by visual projections and design by yours truly. This carefully curated selection of library music is an often experimental and usually very funky musical sub-genre that was used in film and TV from the 60's through 80's. The sights and sounds are obscure yet strangely familiar, and always a good time.
We also created a home version seen below, which features an hour long music mix and animated visuals to offer a sample of what it's all about.
